Script To Performance Announcement- Behind The Drag to be Performed as Part of the Scene + Heard Festival 2026

So here it is folks, the big news!!!! Script to Performance are proud to announce that our production of Behind The Drag by Jessica Irwin, will be performed as part of the Scene + Heard Festival 2026 on the 14^th and 15^thof February 2026 at Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin, Ireland!

Some Londoners might be familiar with this production when the first draft was performed in 2019 at CentrE17 in Walthamstow and at Tower Theatre Company in Stoke Newington.

For those who are not familiar with the play, it’s about a Drag Queen, Sweet Charity, who left Ireland in 1990 for drag stardom in Key West, Florida. When Charity meets so called interviewer, Melanie, a woman connected to Arthur, a man close to their heart, Charity is finally ready to return to their hometown, Carlow.
